Lab Notes #001

A raw look into current workflows, experiments, and creative collisions.

If ABSRRD is not evolving, I’m doing it wrong.
And speaking of wrong, here’s what I did wrong…

In my last letter, I announced the pre-launch of a new Patreon page for "members." It was a bit too ambitious and ultimately added more confusion than value. Because this community already supports me in so many indirect ways, I’ve decided to close the Patreon and double down on the newsletter instead. No paywall. 😵

New Newsletter Format: From Absurd Thoughts + Recaps to Lab Notes.
I know social media is noisy, and I’m selfish. I don't want you to miss a single absurd thing. But standard content recaps and news updates from before felt... boring. Normal. I’m betting sharing with you the actual process and what’s happening deep in the lab is better. And that’s what I want to do moving forward….

Introducing: ABSRRD’s Lab Notes

I love editing

The new format offers an inside look at how I problem-solve in the lab—in its rawest form. No perfect "how-tos," hand-holding, or secret hacks. Instead, you’ll get a front-row seat to the experimental, chaotic parts of my concept studio and creative process.

Together, we’ll explore everything from the technical and philosophical to the building of strange worlds and oddities.

And by raw, I mean unpolished videos, half-baked ideas, messy solutions, and crumply lab notes with coffee stains and dog drool. Maybe cat drool…I don't own a dog.

I can’t wait. What was original reserved for an “exclusive access” is now public and free because its the most nonsensical thing to do.

Speaking on Nonsense. I got a package last night and everything came out perfect.

02/ DEVELOPMENTS

  • Attention Collectors and Apparel Nonsense owners! Keep an eye on your inbox. Inner Circle invites are dropping in the next few days.

  • Still working on our quarterly drops! They’ll feature three monthly collectibles — same theme, but each one unique enough to stand on its own.

  • The ABSRRD monthly membership is taking a back seat for now. It’s not dead. Just back in the incubator.

That’s all for today.

Stay Absurd!
