Lab Notes

A raw look into current workflows, experiments, and creative collisions.

The Trigger

Everything is an experiment. There is no attachment to whether this works or fails. We can control the input, never the outcome.

With Lab Notes, I seek the pure joy of performance — breaking down the absurd visual remixes for the community. Moving from a disembodied talking head on a screen capture to a fully committed, on-camera presence feels like the next logical step for something that is already working beautifully. To dive into this on a Friday, it has to be thrilling. And right now? It absolutely is.

The goal isn't just to hand over tips and tricks. It’s an intimate invitation into my absurd world and crude creative lab. It’s an experience, a window into the thought process, and an open call for you to play along with me. If I can turn this series into art, it will never feel like a job.

The Process

Point the Amaran 200d into a corner and let the light bounce everywhere. Set the camera on the desk—Panasonic GH5S, f/2.6, ISO 200 (a 9-year-old camera, by the way)—take some notes, and let it rip.

Trim the fat on the edit. The goal is to keep this under two minutes.

It's more than enough time for storytelling and show-and-tell.
